Following the outage at the weekend, I realized that we need a more robust backup/archive strategy for sites with large image collections, particularly those which keep their images or media files separately from the site itself (which includes LEMDO, DVPP, Despatches, MyNDIR, Beck, and others). This separation is usually due to the fact that media are too large to store in svn, and therefore live only on the home1t filesystem. I decided to write a process for each project which can retrieve the entire last edition, and did this for MyNDIR first, and then the Despatches.
Through the week, I implemented this for DVPP, LEMDO anthologies (separately), MAJW, Keats, Mariage, and EB11.
On Friday, as part of the staticSearch pre-release testing, I migrated Keats, MyNDIR, the Despatches, and EB11 to the new version.
