Following weekend testing, we determined that it’s not yet possible for any of us to access the cephfs velum mount from outside the campus, in any way at all. This obviously caused a postponement of the scheduled migration, and DG is now working on reproducing all the same permission setups that we had on Cantaloupe. More testing from home will be needed once that’s done.
Also, JJ and I pursued the question of what to do with the home1h material, which we can’t afford to keep hosting. Discussions are continuing with JSR.
On Wednesday, DG said that VPN access from outside should now work, so GN and I tested this at home, but it wasn’t working.
On Thursday, DG let us know that the mapping of VPN pools to IP addresses might be the problem, and he’s working on that.
