We have developed free mini-units for grade 7/8 and high school classes. Each mini unit caters to provincial histories and curriculum requirements.
Several of the mini-units are available in French.
The provincial intermediate / senior mini units focus on a specific province's journey into Confederation. Each mini-unit conforms to provincial curriculum requirements and allows students to engage with the biographies and statements of provincial, federal, and Indigenous historical figures who adopted pro- and anti-Confederation positions.
The national senior mini units focus the country’s Confederation debates. Each mini-unit conforms to provincial curriculum requirements and contains group activities that allow students to engage with the biographies and statements of provincial, federal historical figures from every province who adopted pro- and anti-Confederation positions. They also contain lesson plans that encourage cultural understanding and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples.
