1873 PARLIAMENTARY REPORTER. 53
The Hon. J. C. POPE, a member of Her Majesty's Government, appeared at the Bar with a message from His Honor the Lieutenant Governor.
On motion, the message was received and read by his honor the Speaker. Said message contained the Correspondence between the late government and the Governor General of Canada, in reference to the proposed union of this Island with the Dominion, and was read at the Clerk's table.
On motion, it was laid on the table, and its consideration made the order of the day for Monday next.
