Sir,
I have already in my Despatch, No. 19, of the 21st of March, informed you that I was quite satisfied with your explanation contained in your Despatch, No. 1, dated the 2nd of January, of the steps you had taken in ordertoManuscript image to protect the Public from encroachments upon the Park in Victoria.
I though it right to put Sir Edmund Head and the Hudson's Bay Company in possession of your Despatch. This led to Mr. Dallas's writing a Memorandum of which I enclose a Copy, as well as an extract of a Report from the Board of Emigration relative to one part of that Memorandum.
I adhere to my approval of your proceedingsandManuscript image and think it unnecessary to pursue the subject further.
