Sir,
Referring to your letter of the 16th April last, and to your further letter of the 5th Instant, I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to transmit to you the following List of Stores, which have been forwarded for the Lighthouses at Race Rocks and Fisgard Island, as requested in the Despatch from the Governor of Vancouvers Island which accompanied your letter of the first April last.
The heavier portion of these Stores, including the Fog Bell forManuscript image Race Rocks, as described in List No 1, have been forwarded by the ship "Ann Adamson" viâ Cape Horn.
The lighter portion of the stores, as described in List No 2, have been, as requested in the Governor's despatch, delivered to Messrs Eives and Macey, of King William Street, to be forwarded viâ Panama.
A small Case, the contents of which are described in List No 3, has been forwarded by the Mail Steamer "Seine" viâ Panama.
I am to request that the enclosed two tracings may be forwarded to the Governor for the guidance of the Parties fixing the Fog Bell and striking apparatus at the Race RocksManuscript image Lighthouse.
I am also to request that the Bill of Lading of the stores shipped in the "Ann Adamson," and the receipt of the Case forwarded by the "Seine" enclosed herewith, may be forwarded to the Governor.

As far as I can make out the stores required by the Governor have only been despatched last month. The Crown Agents wd have executed the order more promptly, I think.
