I had the honor to receive an official letter dated the 10th October 1861 in reply to a communication of mine of the 23rd Sept in which your Grace is pleased to state that my letter would be referred to the Governor of Vancouver's Island and that I should beManuscript image apprized of the decision arrived at in the matter.
