Newcastle forwards Van de Weyer's enquiry regarding Van Lokeren to Douglas and asks him to make the necessary inquiries and report to me the result. Note that Van Lokeren's name is often misspelt as Sokeren.

I transmit to you herewith a copy of a Note from the Belgian Minister at this Court requesting to be furnished with certain information relative to M. Adolphe Sokeren [Lokeren] who is stated to be a resident in Victoria, and I should be glad if you would make the necessary inquiries and report to me the result.
