Mr Elliot
Would you acke Colonel Moody's Letter (5477)? He says he has sent copies of the enclosures to the Governor, by whom they have not yet been forwarded to this Office.
ABd 27/6
I should not myself recommend an acknowledgement of the receipt of Coll Moody's letter. As there is nothing specially to call for it, I think, on some general grounds, that it may be better Manuscript imageto leave his correspondence unnoticed.
