With reference to Your Despatch N 2 of the
5 of January 1860,
calling for the details of Expenditure which has

been incurred upon
Barracks and other Services arising out of the occupation of
San Juan, and which has been defrayed from Imperial Funds, I have the
honor to forward herewith the necessary Returns, with Vouchers, made
up to the
30 of September last.
2. I have to offer my apologies for not sooner transmitting these
Documents, but there was a delay and

difficulty in obtaining them in
a perfect shape from the Acting Treasurer,
Captain Gosset, and they

clearly explained by a perusal of the enclosed correspondence.
