I have the honor to report to Your Grace that H.M.S. Satellite left
this place on the 21st Instant with the detachment of Royal Marines
destined to form a joint occupation of the Island of

2. The number was as per margin,
being equivalent to that maintained on the Island by the United States.
1 Captain, 2 Subalterns, 1 Asst Surgeon, 83 non commissioned
officers and men.
3. I forward herewith for your Grace's information copy of
correspondence with Admiral Baynes in reference to this proceeding,
which contains the instructions issued to the officer commanding the
detachment of Royal Marines on

For information. I think that the present opportunity might also be
taken to acknowledge both this, & the previous despatch reporting a
short postponement of the occupation, without comment on either. It
will be remembered that the For: office demurred to
approving the postponement, until the sequel shd appear.
