I am directed by Lord John Russell to transmit to you, for the information of His Grace the Duke of Newcastle, a copy of a Telegram received yesterday evening from Her Majesty's Minister at Washington communicating information received via St Louis respecting the occupationManuscript imageoccupation of the Island of San Juan by a party of United States Soldiers, and the steps thereupon taken by Governor Douglas.
