the intrusion of Citizens of the United States into the Island of San Juan,adding that this
subject has assumed an unusual degree of importance in consequence of the late military occupation of that island by the Troops of the United States.

1. I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch
No 77 of the 10th June last, transmitting for my information a
