I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No 69 of the 22nd May transmitting the copy of a further Despatch from Her Majesty's Minister at Washington, with enclosures, respecting the repayment of the sums advanced by me, to the authorities of Washington

Washington Territory, and I have to return my sincere thanks to Her Majesty's Government for the trouble they have taken in effecting the repayment of the loan, which has now been refunded, with interest.
