Sir,

I am directed by the Lord President of the Council to transmit to you the enclosed Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 4th inst. for establishing a Supreme Court of Civil Justice in Vancouver's Island, under the 12 & 13 Vict. c. 48; and I am to request that you will be pleased to lay the same before the Secretary of State for the Colonial Department.
