Sir,
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 16th Instant and the accompanying Packet for the Governor of Vancouver's Island, and to inform you that the Packet will be forwarded agreeably to your request but that it is doubtful whether the Hudson's Bay Company will dispatch a vessel for that quarter before May next.
