Abstract
Public Offices document. Minutes (2), Enclosures (untranscribed) (2).
Osborne, as commanded by the Admiralty, writes to Merivale, for Newcastle’s information, to forward letters from Prevost, which report on his proceedings relative to Queen Charlottes Island.
The minutes confirm receipt of the enclosure referred to in Osborne’s document.
Of the two enclosed documents, the first is a a copy of Prevost’s report to Douglas; the second is another of Prevost’s reports to Douglas, which relates details on the Virago’s visit to QCI.

I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you herewith for the information of His Grace the Duke of Newcastle Copies of a Letter from Commander James C. Prevost of Her Majesty's Steam Sloop Virago dated the 7th June last and of its enclosure reporting his proceedings relative to Queen Charlottes Island.
