Resolved,
That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, that She will be graciously pleased to give directions that there be laid before this House, a Return made since 1849 by the Hudson's Bay Company to the Secretary of State for the Colonies, in conformity with the grant of Vancouver's Island to the said Company; of the acres of land sold, and the number of Colonists settled in the said Island, and of all monies which have been received by the said Company for the purchase of such lands; and also from all payments which may have been made to them for or in respect of coal or other minerals obtained in the said Island, together with the amount applied to colonization and improvement of the Island.
