Good to Under-Secretary of State
Wimborne, Dorset
2 June 1871
Sir
I have the honor to request that the leave of absence granted me may be extended from the 1st to the 20th of July.
Governor Musgrave in granting my leave fixed upon the 1st of July as being the day on which British Columbia would probably become part of the Dominion of Canada, and now that the 20th of July has been decided on, I trust Lord Kimberley will be pleased to sanction myManuscript image leave being extended to that date.
Such extension would be a great boon to me, as I have found it impossible in the few weeks I have been in England to arrange several matters of business about which I have come home.
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obedient
humble Servant
Charles Good
