My Lord,
I have the honor to acquaint Your Lordship that in accordance
with the intention I expressed in my Despatch No 68, of 12th
July, I shall embark tomorrow in Her Majesty's Ship
"Sparrowhawk" for San Francisco on my wayto
to England; and on my
arrival in London I shall wait upon Your Lordship to report in
person the satisfactory completion of the Union of this Colony
with Canada.
