Sir,

I am directed by the Lords Commissrs of Her Majesty's Treasury to state, for Earl Granville's information, that their Lordships see no objection to the confirmation of the Ordinance, passed by the Legislature of British Columbia & entitled No 7 of 1870 "An Ordinance to create a further Duty of Customs for the Public Service," a transcript of which was enclosed in Mr Holland's letter of 11th inst.
