I have had the honor to receive Your Lordship's despatch No. 18
of the 7th March in reference to someMurders Murders which the Indians
in the neighbourhood of Metlakahtla had committed.
2. Your Lordship, does not, I regret to say, consider my
explanation satisfactory. I have only therefore awaited the
return of the Spring to enable me to visit the North West Coast.
I start in Her Majesty's Ship "Sparrowhawk" thisafternoon afternoon for
Metlakahtla.
