My Lord,
I have the honor to forward the usual certificates of my having
granted, with the advice of the Executive Council, a year's
leaveof of Absence to Mr Benjamin W. Pearse, Assistant Surveyor
General of British Columbia.
2. I gladly take this opportunity of testifying to my entire
satisfaction with his Services and my confidence that should he
apply for promotion any indulgence he may receive from Your
Lordship will be well bestowed.
