In reply to Buckingham’s request for information, Seymour informs Buckingham that Ferro has left Victoria for San Jose and that Ferro owns property in Victoria. Cox’s minute suggests sending the despatch to the Foreign Office.

I have had the honor to receive Your Grace's despatch No. 102,
of the 31st December 1867, requesting information respecting an

2. I learn from the Police Magistrate that Dominico Ferro left
Victoria in September or October last, and is now at San Jose,
California. Ferro owns several town lots in Victoria.
