Sir,
With reference to the correspondence noted in the margin,
I have the honor to transmit to you for your information a copy of a
further letter from Mr. Samuel Barfield on the subject of agrant
grant to
Messrs Stewart Meldrum and Co. and to Mr. MacKean of certain Mineral
lands on the North West Coast of Vancouver Island, together with a copy
of the answer which has been returned by my direction to Mr. Barfield's
letter.
