Seymour forwards two plain Copies of an Ordinance … for the regulation of Ferries and Bridges and the Attorney General’s report, which Seymour comments on. Holland’s minute states that the Ordinance for the Regulat: of Ferries & Bridges re-enacts & extends to the whole Colony
an Ordinance of 1866 and suggests it should be sanctioned.

My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two plain
Copies of an Ordinance of the late Session of the Legislative Council,
entitled;
No. 9. An Ordinancefor for the regulation of Ferries and Bridges.
The Attorney General appears to have furnished, in his
Report, all the information requisite respecting this measure. It
only remains for me to say that its principles have worked well on
the mainland portion of the Colony.
