Sir,
I have had the honor of receiving your letter of the
28th of June calling for my opinion on an Ordinance recently
passed by the Legislature of British Columbia entitled;
An Ordinance conferring certain privileges on the Williams CreekBed Rock Flume Company.
The privileges sought to be conferred upon theCompany Company
are so very extensive that I would desire, should the Secretary
of State permit, to withhold my report until I have returned to the
Colony.
I see no objection to the Ordinance remaining in force for the
present.
