Seymour forwards copies of an ordinance titled No. 2. An Ordinance to amend the Law of Evidence and explains that he was unable to obtain the usual summary from the Attorney General,
but that the act explains itself sufficiently.

Sir,
I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two
plain Copies of an Ordinance of the present Session of the
Legislature of this Colony, entitled;
No. 2. An Ordinance to amend the Law of Evidence.
2. I am
2. I am unable to procure the legal summary of the
Attorney General in consequence of a pressure of business.
However the Act explains fully its objects, and I need only
say that it was the result of a Conference between the Judge
of the Supreme Court and myself. My instructions were embodied
in the present Ordinance by the Attorney General.
