M Elliot
Under these circẽs I think that we may tell the
Gov that orders have been given to the Crown
Agents to comply with the requisition contained
in
Sir Ja Douglas'
desp of the
11 Ap/64,
and also that they have been Authorized to pay
themselves the cost of such requisition out of the
bill for £6200 which matures on the
30 prox.
It may perhaps be a question whether, as the
Colony is indebted to the Agents the sum of
£1289, and the expected bill does not mature for
nearly 2 months, the present
w not be a
favorable moment for telling
Gov Seymour to
be careful to keep the Agents in funds to meet his
requisitions. Authorize the Agents to repay themselves.
