Seymour sends a design for a postage stamp required by British Columbia and asks the Crown Agents to procure the stamps and send them to the colony. This document includes a letter from Elliot to the Crown Agents forwarding a copy of the despatch and enclosure, asking that a moderate supply of stamps be sent to the colony.

Sir,
I have the honor to forward, herewith, a design for a Postage Stamp required for this Colony, and to request that the Crown Agents may be instructed to procure and send out, viâ Panama, so soon as they conveniently can, a supply of the stamps in question.
