Sir F. Rogers
See confl despatch from Gov Austin. The mode of dealing with this
will depend on the terms in which that despatch was sent to Gov Seymour?
I did not see the private Letter to Govr Seymour as far as
I can recollect nor do I know by whom it was signed or
written. I suppose, from Mr Irving's minute that it is
not on record. I suppose nothing remains but to await the result of it.
Documents enclosed with the main document (not transcribed)
G.W. Holmes to Birch, 17 July 1864, conveying his acceptance of
the appointment of Colonial Secretary of Honduras, and advising of
his intention to proceed there as soon as possible.
