My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two plain
Copies of an Ordinance of the last Session of Legislative Council
of this Colony, Entitled:
An Ordinance for regulating the Postal Service.
I add the Report of the Attorney General which appears to me
to afford all the information Your Grace would require.

I think that, in the absence of Sir F. Rogers, from the Office we might refer this Ordce to the G.P.O. requesting that Dt (which will of course take into consideration the early stage of Colonial life and roads in B.C.) to favor Mr Cardwell with its opinion on the Law.
