Lindsay forwards Fortescue and Newcastle an advertisement for the W. S. Lindsay & Co. ship Tynemouth, which is carrying passengers from London to Victoria during the summer of 1862. He asks that if you have any recent information of interest from B Columbia it would be very desirable if it could be made known through the newspapers, as my firm cannot supply the many inquiries which are daily made in regard to the last news & the prospects to capitalists & others.

My dear Sir
The annexed ship is bound for the New Colony—as she is the first steamer, I may be thereupon called the pioneer of the route. You may like to see the particulars. The Duke of Newcastle may also like to know, that if any inducement offers, I may afterwards employ her between Panama & B Columbia.
If you have any recent information of interest from B Columbia it would be very desirable if it could be made known through the newspapers, as my firm cannot supply the many inquiries which are daily made in regard to the last news & the prospects to capitalists & others.
