Hamilton writes Rogers on behalf of the Treasury to inform him that the
Paymaster General has been authorized to pay Moody's salary for the quarter ending 30 June 1862 to
Cox & Co.
With reference to your letter of 6th inst. I am commanded by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury
to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized
to pay to Messrs. Cox & Co on account of Col. Moody, Chief
Commissioner of Lands and Works in British Columbia, the sum of £300, for Salary for Quarter to 30th June last, at the rate of £1,200 per annum.
