I have the honor of transmitting herewith to your Grace
an Address to
the Queen from the Municipal Council
New Westminster
testifying their deep sorrow at the late melancholy bereavement
which has deprived Her Majesty of
a a beloved and affectionate
Husband, and the Nation at large of a wise and good Prince.
2. Although perhaps it may be that this Address will be
the last to reach Her Majesty on this sorrowful occasion, I
would trust that it may not on that account be esteemed the
less, coming as it does from the Capital of one of the most
distant of Her Colonies, and imbued
as as it is with the most sincere
reverence and affection for Her Person and Throne.
