Newcastle informs Douglas that the following Proclamations have been approved: No. 29 The Southern Boundary Act 1860; No. 30 The Country Land Act 1861; No. 31 The Preemption Amendment Act 1861; No. 32 Providing for remissions in the purchase of lands in British Columbia to Officers of the Royal Army and Navy; No. 33 The Pilotage Act 1861; No. 34 The Roman Catholic Land Act 1861; No. 35 The Pre-emption Purchase Act 1861; and No. 36 The Fireman's Protection Act 1861.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatches No. 27 and 54 of the 23rd of April and 4th of September last, enclosing transcripts of the Proclamations entitled as in the annexed schedule.
I have laid these Proclamations before TheTheManuscript image Queen and I am commanded to inform you that Her Majesty has been pleased to approve them.
