Hamilton informs Rogers on behalf of the Treasury that the
Paymaster General had been authorised to pay £25.19.6 to Naval Services for Douglas's entertainment [meaning travel]
on board HMS Satellite between July and September 1859.
In reply to Mr Elliot's Letter of the 2nd Instant,
I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you
that the Paymaster General has been
authorized to pay to Naval Services the sum of £25.19.6 for the entertainment on board
the "Satellite" of the Governor of
British Columbia during the Months of July, August &
Sepr 1859.
