Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you that they have directed the withdrawal of a claim on the Colonial Department amounting to £3643.2.8. for the Conveyance of a party of Engineers and others to British Columbia in 1858, excepting, however, the Cost of the passages of the persons named on the other side,

It only remains for us to settle with the Admiralty the charge—when we are apprized of it—incurred in the passage of the Chaplain, his wife, and the Collector of B. Columbia.
