I have the honor of transmitting herewith for your Grace's
information a comparative Statement of Customs revenue collected
at New Westminster during the quarter ending 31st December 1859 and 31st March
1860
1860, which exhibits a highly satisfactory
and regularly progressive increase in that branch of the revenue.
2. The constant accession to the population in British Columbia, by the influx of Miners, and the encouraging accounts daily arriving
from the Mines, lead me, as I am glad to inform your Grace, to look
forward with confidence to a continuance of prosperity.
Documents enclosed with the main document (not transcribed)
