having made Requisition upon me for the sum of about Three
Thousand Five hundred pounds (£3,500) on Military Account, I have the
honor to acquaint
Your
Your Grace, that not having Funds in the
Colonial Chest to meet this demand, I have instructed the
Treasurer to procure the above named sum, by Bills on Her
Majesty's Paymaster General, and I trust your Grace will be
pleased to obtain the necessary authority from the Lords
Commissoners of the Treasury for the Bills presented on this
account to be paid when they become due.
2. With reference to your Grace's Despatch No 20 of the
7 September, I will at the earliest opportunity communicate
to your Grace a statement in reference
to
to the amounts of
Regimental pay, included in the drafts on Her Majesty's Paymaster
General for the Military Expenses of the Colony.
