the Master of the Minthas approved an
Assay Office and Refinery in British Columbia,and forwards a copy of a Treasury letter that notes
that Mr Bacon, and Mr Hitchcock have been engaged as Melters.

With reference to my Despatch of the
29th September, No 27, on the
subject of the Establishment of an Assay Office and Refinery in British
Columbia, I have to inform you that the Master of the Mint has been
authorised to carry into effect the arrangements which have been
proposed for the accomplishmentof
