Sir,
With reference to the arrangements in progress in regard
to the sums properly chargeable to Naval and Military Funds,
on account of expenditure in British Columbia; I am directed
by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury, to
transmit to you, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle,
the enclosed copy of a Statement, submitted by the Paymaster
General, showing the amount of Bills drawn by direction of
the Governor of British Columbia, and the amount of which
