Sir,

I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your Despatch of the 19th November 1858, No 45 and, with reference thereto, I have duly communicated to Colonel Moody the information therein contained respecting

respecting the quarterly issue to his Agents Messrs. Cox & Co. of his pay as Chief Commissioner of Lands and Works in British Columbia; and also that an advance of 120 Days pay has been made to him and to the other Officers of the Expedition.
