I transmit for your information a Copy of a letter from Rear Admiral Sir M. Seymour, dated Calcutta—27th of October and addressed to the Secretary to the Admiralty, 1 reporting his intention to despatch Her Majesty's Ship "Tribune" from China to Vancouvers Island with 150 Royal Marines on board.
