Enclosed is a draft reply from Lytton to Douglas asking that he acquaint Moody that his alterations to the list of stores has been sanctioned.

Sir,

Having laid before the Secretary of State for War your letter of the 8th instant, 1 I am directed to state that Major General Peel concurs with Secretary Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton in considering that the alterations which have been introduced by Colonel Moody in the List of Stores for the use of the Detachment under his Command should be sanctioned.
