Sir,
With reference to your Despatch No 34 of the 29th of October, transmitting the copy of a letter from the Colonial Agent General with its enclosures respecting the payment in Vancouver's Island of the pension of Michel Kelsher [Kelcher], an army Pensioner, and instructing me to give directions for the payment of this pension from the ColonialTreasuryManuscript image Treasury, and to forward the vouchers necessary to recover re-payment from the War Department as pointed out by the Agent General, I have to state in reply that those instructions will be carefully attended to. 1
