Queen Henrietta Maria's Jointure (Household Vouchers, 1627-33)

A bill and receipt for payment to Gilbert Morette , tailor, for masque costumes. The receipt is signed by Morette, and dated 11 April 1632. The bill comprises a single leaf, folded in half. The bill occupies pp. 1-3, with the receipt also on p. 3; p. 4 the identification of the bill (turned 90 degrees).

For a masking sute of white satten and a Polony coate of crymson satten lynd with greene taffety for Mr Ieffery at the Kings masque.	l. s. d.
For canvas and stiffening to the sute	0 - 2 - 6
for say to lyne the hose	0 - 2 - 6
for white lyninges for the hose	0 - 2 - 6
for pockettes hookes and eyes	0 - 1 - 0
for making the sute and polony coate with 2 laces in a seame and great buttons on the coate	1 0 - 0 15 - 0

For making of his spanish cloth riding coate lynd with bayes

For a watchett satten sute for mr Ieffery at the Queenes masque.
