Precept for 76li:19:5 for part of 4300li for pageantes for ye king es coming through the cittie

A precepte from the Lord Maior of the vjth of this moneth was nowe read, Wherein the Company are required according to an Acte of Comon Councell of thexiijth of October 1628 to leuy & prouide within themselues the some of lxxvjli xixs vd being their rateable parte of 2150: which is the halfe of 4300:li that the Chamber of London hath paid for making of the Pageants and Shewes against the late intended tyme of his Majesties passage throughe the Citty requiring this Company to pay in the said lxxvjli 19s 5d unto the Chamber of London the 13th of this moneth, And 76: 19: 5: at 2: six monethes after being their full proporcionable parte of the 4300li: abouesaid Whereupon the Company after they are Informed w howe other Companie s are governed herein will take such further order herein as shalbe requisite.

The Money lent the Cittie to be receive d

Whereas by order of the2 d of Ianuary 1627: Two thousand one hundred fourty and eight poundes, was appointed to be lent vnto the Chamber of London in parte of 60000li leuied Vpon the Cham Companies of London, W hich was accordingly paid in the ixth of the said moneth: to receaue for the consideracion thereof after the rate of vjli per Centum per annum for the tyme it should be forborne:

Nowe the Chamberlaine of London hauing signified to the wardens that the Company may receaue out the same out of the Chamber, abating thereout. 153: 18: 10d being their proporcionall parte of 4300li: expended for the Pageants in the Maioralty of Si r Cuthbert Hackett Knigh t as by a a precept grounded vpon an acte of Comon Counsell bearing date the 28th of October 1629: appeareth It is theruppon ordered that the wardens shall receaue and pay the said monies accordingly, And alsoe shall pay the . 500li owing to the said Chamber of London together with the intrest thereof after the rate of 7li per Centum, out of the said p monies to be receiued; And to pay In with as much conveyancy as he canne the 500li owing to one Henry Sill Wi th the intrest thereof at and to take in the Companies bond.
