Il sigignor Prencipe faraí martedií prossimo, giorno
de tre Re, il suo balletto annuario, al quale douerebbero Inuitarci gli Amb
asciato ri di spagna, per toccare questí anno a loro et non aí francia,
peroí si sta in dubbio se lo faranno, et facendolo, se gli Amb asciatori
ui uorranno andare, rispetto aí non che Intermedij che dicono ui saranno rappresentati
per derisione degli Spagnuoli.
Translation
Next Tuesday, Twelfth Night,
the prince
will perform his annual masque, to which the ambassadors of
Spain
ought to be invited, as this year it is their turn and not France’s. It is doubtful
whether they will do it, and whether
the ambassadors will want to attend, as it is said that some interludes will be staged
which mock the Spaniards.
