Girolamo Lando, dated 15 Jan 1619 [i.e. 5 Jan. 1620]. It is unnumbered, and
occupies pages 357-358 (extract on page 357).
Onde si termino' il Consiglio con ordinare, che per un chierico dell' istesso,
quale uiene ad' essere, come un comandatore de nostri, fusse mandato a' dire al Donato
hieri sera, come segue, che per Domenica si ritroui inanzi
al medesimo consiglio. Mi pare longo tempo d' interuallo questo da ieri sera a'
Domenica; ma' per occasione delli Balletti, che si hanno a' fare, et per
gli<impedimenti>, che in questi giorni s' incontrano per la uenuta
delli Ambasciatori Baron d' Hey di ritorno, et Baron Dona per il nuouo Re' di Bohemia, si disegna
di non fare
piu' consiglio formato, se non quel giorno.
Translation
The Council concluded by ordering that one of the clerks, whose role is to carry
commands like our “comandatore”, should be sent yesterday to tell Donato to appear
before the Council on Sunday. This seems to me a long delay,
but it was planned not to have a formal Council before then, because of the masques
that
are to be performed and of the business occurring at this time, that is the return
of
the ambassador Baron Hay
, and the arrival of the ambassador Baron Dohna for the new
King of Bohemia.
